In 2001, pig farmer, Robert William Pickton, was convicted of the murder of 26 women, confessing shortly after in prison that he’d gotten away with 23 more. He targeted sex-workers in the Downtown East Side in Vancouver between 1978 and 2001, slipping through the cracks of prejudice officers and negligent investigative work.

Pickton disposed of the bodies in the troughs of his pigs, where mostly all of the evidence was digested before selling his livestock to slaughterhouses. “Pig Farm Killer” is the true story about one sex worker who managed to escape his farm after fighting for her life. Her testimony in the court case that followed was considered unreliable due to her drug addiction. Pickton was free to continue to kill multiple more women before his conviction four years later. The story has been under wraps for nearly three decades, which Trilight Entertainment holds exclusive rights to.
